Man Utd watch as Real Madrid confirm Middlesbrough cash offer for Geremi

Real Madrid has confirmed that Middlesbrough have made a cash offer for wing-back Geremi.

The Cameroon international has been linked with Manchester United, but Real sports chief Jorge Valdano said, "The only thing we know about Manchester United's interest in Geremi is the rumours in the papers."

"We do not have any other offers on the table for Geremi other than the one from Middlesbrough."

Last week, Valdano insisted any interested club would have to pay £10 million for Geremi's transfer.
