Man Utd to pounce for sacked Real Madrid coach

Manchester United are expected to approach Carlos Queiroz this week about a return to Old Trafford.

Queiroz was dismissed as Real Madrid coach yesterday after a disastrous campaign which saw the Spanish giants finish the season in fourth place.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring Queiroz back to England, knowing that current No2 Walter Smith was always going to be a short-term appointment.
