Man Utd ready to listen to offers for Van Nistelrooy

Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is the subject of a tug-of-war between Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Sun says Manchester United's board is reluctantly ready to accept an offer of around £28million for the striker.

Real have been in touch with the striker's agent Roger Linse throughout the season. But United are also understood to have had contact with Barcelona about the possibility of letting the Dutchman go to the Nou Camp.

Van Nistelrooy only just signed a new deal at United, but since then has fallen out with boss Alex Ferguson and a number of team-mates.
