Man Utd No2 Queiroz works on Real Madrid's Helguera

Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz wants to bring Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera to Old Trafford.

Queiroz is understood to have sounded out Helguera about moving to United with the Spain international inside the final 12 months of his current contract.

Helguera said: "From January, I will have the freedom to listen to offers and Madrid know this."

Along with United, Liverpool and Newcastle have also been linked with Helguera in recent weeks.
