Man Utd No2 Queiroz: Real Madrid backed Camacho more than me

Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz says he didn't receive the same backing as Real Madrid coach as Jose Antonio Camacho has enjoyed this summer.

Asked about the raft of big-name signings Real have secured since his departure, Queiroz told Marca: "As a coach at Manchester I have great respect for the decisions made by the leaders from Real Madrid."

"But as an ex-trainer of Real Madrid, I must say that they would have to look to their conscience and explain why the last season happened. The damage did not affect me, but it did affect Real Madrid."

"I also follow with much attention what has happened to the policy of the 'pavones'."

He added, "Camacho has a good squad. Better than mine. It's more balanced."
