Man Utd, Newcastle join Real Madrid in Amelia chase

Manchester United, Newcastle and Real Madrid have been linked with Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia.
The Italy U21 international is also a target for Italy's biggest clubs, including Juventus, Roma and AC Milan.

Asked about the clamour for his signature, Amelia said, "It is indeed a happy moment for my life and my career, I am pleased that all these clubs are trying for me.

"In September we will see if I am to leave the club. For now, my commitment is only to Livorno and the U21s. I will focus on promotion and the European Championship."
