Man Utd make it official: Beckham will not join Real Madrid

Manchester United have issued an official statement refuting a Sunday press report that a deal has been struck for David Beckham to move to Real Madrid in the summer.

In the article, "a top-level source" was quoted saying: "Everyone here is desperately trying to keep it under wraps until the season has completed."

But a club spokesman insisted: "This story is categorically untrue."
