Man Utd in Real Madrid talks over Middlesbrough's Geremi

Manchester United have joined Arsenal in monitoring Middlesbrough's bid for Real Madrid wing-back Geremi.
Both United and the Gunners are ready to move for the Cameroon international as Boro baulk at paying Real's £10 million asking price.

Indeed, it's reported United have already opened talks with Real about Geremi, who boss Sir Alex Ferguson sees as a natural understudy to David Beckham.

Boro have first option on the 24 year-old, but will struggle to meet Real's valuation.
