Man Utd have edge on Real Madrid in Diarra talks

Lyon could snub Real Madrid and deal only with Manchester United for midfielder Mahmadou Diarra.
 
The French giants are furious over Real's behaviour, with AS saying that they've contacted Diarra's agent, Frederic Guerra, four times without any approach to Lyon.

United have taken a different route, dealing directly with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, who has declared it will take at least £24 million to land the Mali international.

Aulas doesn't want to lose Diarra, but if he had to choose a club to do business with, the Lyon supremo would favour negotiations with United over Real.
