Man City confident of landing Real Madrid's McManaman

Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan is convinced he can win the race for Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman.

The England international admitted last month he could return to the Premiership next season and its reported Keegan is heading a queue of clubs seeking talks with the former Liverpool favourite.

Real Madrid are willing to hand McManaman a free transfer to help smooth the midfielder's departure.
