Man City chasing Real Madrid's Gravesen

Manchester City are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen.
 
Blues boss Stuart Pearce checked out the midfielder's form personally when Madrid met the Gunners in Spain, but a stumbling block for the Premiership club would certainly be the player's wages of around £40,000 per week and Gravesen, who has twice moved for a £2.5m fee, will inevitably wait and see if City qualify for Europe.

However, while the Blues are sticking to their policy of not discussing their specific targets, sources in both Madrid and in Denmark have told the Manchester Evening News that there has been initial interest from both parties.
