Malaga and Sporting Gijon promoted to Primera Liga

Malaga and Sporting Gijon were promoted to the Primera Liga with victories in their final games of the second division season on Sunday.

Malaga finished second behind already-promoted champions Numancia, after a 2-1 home win over Tenerife, and return to the top-flight after being relegated in 2006.

Sporting were level on points in third after a 2-0 home win against Eibar, and return after a ten-year spell in the second division.
