Makelele's Intercontinental Chances Get Dim

Claude Makelele was told on Wednesday that he would probably have to skip the Intercontinental Cup match Real Madrid are set to play on December 3 in Tokyo.

The French midfielder limped off last Saturday's Superclasico with Barcelona and has been diagnosed with a torn ligament injury which is bound to keep him on the sidelines for weeks.
