Maicon Likely To Stay At Inter; Real Madrid Still Possible
The agent of the Brazilian defender has suggested that his client will be staying put, for now.
Inter right-back Maicon has been linked with a move away from the Italian champions for the majority of the summer, with Real Madrid being tipped as the frontrunners to secure his services for next season.
The Brazilian has revealed some issues he has with the Nerazzurri at present, which has led many into believing that his time is up in the Italian Serie A.
However, his agent Antonio Caliendo has recently suggested that it is highly likely his client will remain in Milan as Inter go in search of their fifth successive Scudetto next term.
“We’ll see what happens in the next few days with Real Madrid, and make a decision from there,” his agent affirmed in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“In any case though, there aren’t only Spanish clubs that are interested in him, as Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have also spoken to us.
“In the end, I believe that Maicon will follow [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, and remain with Inter, as they will be extremely strong once again next season.”
