Madrid prepare for Inter clash

Real Madrid returned to the training ground on Monday in preparation for Tuesday's showdown with Inter Milan for the Trofeo Bernabeu.

The Madrilenos, still smarting from their humiliating defeat to Deportivo in Saturday's Teresa Herrera tournament, have decided to stage Monday's workout behind closed doors, in an attempt to recuperate their concentration before the homecoming clash.

Hector Cuper's Inter side are due to arrive in the Spanish capital on Monday evening but the Italians will be without Brazilian ace Ronaldo, who has not been able to recover from injury leaving Christian Vieri to lead the Inter attack.

The other surprise will be the return to the Bernabeu of Clarence Seedorf, who left Real two seasons ago to try his luck in Serie A. He told reporters: "It's going to be an emotional return for me, Madrid as always, have some very good players but in the end it will be the best team that will decide the game."

Inter will be without Zanetti, Recoba, Emre, Sukur and Sergio Concecaio, who are all on international duty but new signing Adriano will take part.
