UEFA Champions League holders Real Madrid CF are to stage a charity match in aid of the victims of the oil slick that has devastated Spain's north-west coast.
Vicente del Bosque's side will play against a team formed by players from the two Primera División clubs of the affected area of Galicia, RC Celta de Vigo and RC Deportivo La Coruña.
The game will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on 15 April next year, announced the president of Galicia's local government, Manuel Fraga.
Fraga added that 5,000 free tickets would be made available to schoolchildren from the province whose fishing industry has been severely damaged by the oil slick from the tanker Prestige.
