Madrid Looking To Trump Barca For Deco

Real Madrid are keen to secure the services of Deco for next season, in an apparent bid to stop him joining Barcelona.

The Catalans are thought to be in negotiations with Porto for the Brazilian-born Portuguese international.

But according to Marca, Real boss Carlos Queiroz has requested the player, and the Merengues may now make efforts to secure his services for the 2004/05 season.

Real tried to do a similar deal with Ronaldinho, but the Brazilian has now joined Barca.
