Macca must take wage cut to join Man City

Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan is hopeful of convincing Steve McManaman to take a cut in wages to return to England over the summer.

The England midfielder earns over £65,000-a-week with Real Madrid, but is likely to be offered a free transfer at the end of the Spanish season.

City can't afford to match McManaman's current salary, but the prospect of joining Keegan and also good friend Robbie Fowler could convince the 31 year-old to sign over the summer.
