Lyon seek replacement for Real Madrid-bound Diarra

Olympique Lyon are ready to sell midfield ace Mahamadou Diarra to Real Madrid.
 
Real director Franco Baldini held secret talks with Lyon officials on Tuesday in France and it's emerged today that a replacement for Diarra is already being lined up.

A source close to Lens midfielder Alou Diarra revealed to AS that the player's agent was contacted by Lyon this week.

The agent was told: "We want to know the situation your player. Diarra is leaving to join Real Madrid and we need to sign a similar player and your boy enters within this profile."

For his part, Alou Diarra is keen on moving to Lyon, despite declaring an ambition to play for Roma this season.
