Lyon's Edmilson: Everyone wants to play for Real Madrid

Olympique Lyon defender Edmilson has admitted he'd welcome a move to Real Madrid.

The Brazilian international almost joined Leeds United over the summer and is available for transfer.

He told AS: "These days everyone wants to play for Real Madrid. But I have contract with Lyon to 2007."

"A lot of speculation begins when Madrid are interested in a player. At the moment I can only think about playing for Lyon."

"But who knows? One day I may wear the shirt of Real Madrid."
