Lyon defender Cris linked with Real Madrid

Olympique Lyon defender Cris has been linked with Real Madrid.

Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has asked the board to move for the Brazilian, who he worked with while in charge of his country's U23 team and also at Cruzeiro.

Cris, 28, is aware that Luxemburgo wants him in Madrid next season, with his versatility an attraction to Real as they seek cover at centre-half and also in central midfield.
