Lyon ace Diarra: Real Madrid my dream

Olympique Lyon midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is desperate to see a move to Real Madrid wrapped up this week.
 
The Mali international hopes Real and Lyon can come to agreement by Thursday, the day he is due back at Lyon following international duty.

Sources close to the player have told AS that Diarra sat in on last Tuesday's meeting between his agent, Frederic Guerra, and Real director Franco Baldini and was overwhelmed by Madrid's interest in him.

"I want that my future is solved already," Diarra said. "I've made my position already clear. For me, it is a dream to play for Madrid."

"I am a very impatient person."

Real faxed Lyon yesterday declaring their intentions to open formal negotiations for Diarra. Real sports director Predrag Mijatovic hopes to come to an agreement for the midfielder in the next 72 hours.
