Luxemburgo reveals Real Madrid job doubts

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has admitted to doubts over his future.

The Brazilian revealed he held talks with president Florentino Perez last week after the defeat at Getafe over concerns about his job security.

"I did seek to speak with the president because I had doubts in my head when we lost," said Luxemburgo. "I spoke with the president and he reminded me that I have a contract for next season. It is normal that we'd speak on such a topic."

He added: "The changes in fortune can happen over 90 minutes. In Spain we saw how March 11, so traumatic, changed the election of the president. The reports do not worry me, for example in Brazil when a team like Corinthians does not win, people are immediately calling for your head."
