Luxemburgo: Real Madrid winning as happy team

Real Madrid moved within four points of Barcelona on Saturday night with a comprehensive 4-0 defeat of Espanyol.

Zinedine Zidane opened the scoring after 13 minutes and Raul doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark.

The Real skipper made sure of the points with a second after the break before Thomas Gravesen claimed his first goal for the club in the closing stages.

In a strange quirk of the fixture schedule, Barca host Real's city rivals Atletico on Sunday.

"The team played happy because it is happy. It is working very well. It was calm on the field. They were very focused, but not tense," declared Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo afterwards.

"It has not been one of the most complete games. We had problems at the back. They had three or four opportunities. In the Bernabéu it is important to take risks, but not so many."
