Luxemburgo: Real Madrid title chase not over

Real Madrid are still in the Liga title race, insists coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Reflecting on Saturday's defeat by Deportivo La Coruna, Luxemburgo said yesterday: "We have many games ahead to cut Barcelona's lead. There are many points left and a direct clash with Barcelona. We have possibilities of overcoming this."

"Already, we knew yesterday the result of Barça before we began our game, but the schedule is equal. Later we could not add our three points, so to know what they've done means little."

He added: "We have had problems with the players who did not come. In addition, Zinedine Zidane, for example, had to leave the field because of some muscular problems and Solari had to replace him."

"Figo was with a little fever, Robert Carlos and Beckham also... things didn't happen as we wanted."
