Luxemburgo: I will be with Real Madrid next season

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo is confident he will remain in the job for the start of next season.

Juventus trainer Fabio Capello and Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez have both been linked with Luxemburgo's job this week.

The Brazilian held talks with Real president Florentino Perez on Monday and revealed last night: "Perez didn't have to assure me, because I am already calm about the situation."

"I believe I will be here next season. But this is a question for the president. Look, I've coached Brazil and when you lose there are always big names being linked with your job. Just like Capello from Juventus, he is a great coach. It's normal these names are mentioned with a job such as mine. I experienced the same thing in Brazil."

Asked if he had discussed summer signings with Perez and his fellow directors, Luxemburgo replied: "No, because we haven't started planning for next season."
