Luxemburgo: I have confidence of Real Madrid president

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has waved away questions about a post-match meeting with club president Florentino Perez and his No2 Emilio Butragueno.

The pair spoke with Luxemburgo at the end of Wednesday night's disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Lyon and the coach insisted: "They just wanted to know how everyone was after the game. It was a normal discussion."

"I do not have to be worried. I do not think about whether Perez is going to dump me or not. We have had many problems and never have had all our players fit at the one time."
