Luxemburgo explains Real Madrid Robinho axe

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo says Robinho is still adjusting to the speed of European football.
 
Luxemburgo dropped the Brazilian to the bench for last night's clash with Real Mallorca, explaining: "Robinho needs more time."

"He must adapt little by little. He lacks a fitness base. He didn't do a preseason in Brazil and after stopping a month during the negotiations Santos played him immediately against Corinthians. He needs a fitness base to help him adjust to the speed and style of game here."

"The decision is mine. I'll talk to him about it, but I do not have to justify my choice to him."
