Luxemburgo demands better from Real Madrid

Real Madrid know they can't afford to falter against Real Mallorca today.

Madrid go into the game on the back of a 2-1 Champions League win over Olympiacos on Wednesday night.
 
Goals from Raul and youngster Roberto Soldado, who netted an 86th-minute winner, gave Madrid the win.

However, Luxemburgo knows his side should have had the result wrapped up by half-time after creating and missing a host of chances.

Most of those chances came courtesy of the boot of David Beckham, who sent over an incredible 28 crosses during the game.

Just as incredible though was the manner in which his companions managed to waste 26 of them, much to Luxemburgo's displeasure.

"You have to kill off your opponents," he said.

"If you miss five or six chances then nerves always arrive on the scene because all it takes is a set-piece or a deflection and then you have to do a lot of work."

"You can't let your opponents off - ever."
