Luxemburgo: Beckham one of Real Madrid's best

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has heaped praise on midfielder David Beckham.

The trainer described Beckham as Real Madrid's "hardest worker" and said: "He is someone who is prepared to play out-of-position for the team and is our hardest worker."

"I have had to make adjustments to the midfield because Beckham is not a pivot. When he plays along with Guti, they both play as two pivots because they have different characteristics."

"It's rubbish to say Beckham is here because he sells shirts. If I think he should be on the bench, I will put him there. I am the commander of this team and no-one else interferes."
