Luka Modric: This is why I joined Real Madrid!

Luka Modric was thrilled with his role in Real Madrid's victory over Manchester City.

Real struck twice late on to win 3-2 in their Champions League opener.

"I came to Real Madrid to play these games," said Modric.

"It was very exciting, almost like a final. It was a great game against Manchester City who have great, great players. I am very happy to have achieved victory at the end."
