Luis Figo: Real Madrid Can Still Pip Barcelona To The Primera Liga Title

Former Real Madrid and Barcelona star Luis Figo has insisted that los Merengues still have hope of capturing the league title as the Blaugrana's opponents Valladolid still have it all to play for on Sunday.

The Portuguese believes that Barca are still firmly in the driving seat but noted that the unpredictability of football leaves Madrid with a chance of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

Real Madrid also face relegation strugglers at the weekend, traveling to the Rosaleda to take on Malaga while Barca will host Valladolid at Camp Nou.

"I think the beauty of football is that it's so unpredictable. While there is a chance there is always hope. Despite having to be realistic and knowing that Barcelona has it all in their favour, anything can happen and until the last minute everything can change," Figo said, as quoted by Marca.

"Valladolid also has a lot to play for so it will be a final for both, although Barca has it in their favor, playing at home. [Javier] Clemente is a coach who has experience, who knows Spanish football."
