Lucas Silva Returns To Cruzeiro

23 year old midfielder Lucas Silva has today made a loan move back to former club Cruzeiro on a deal that will run for 18 months.

Real Madrid confirmed the deal earlier today and the player effectively returns home having made nine appearances in his three years at the Santiago Bernabeu and he has been unused since head coach Zinedine Zidane took charge of the side.

Last summer he was due to complete a loan move out to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon but that deal fell down when an irregular heartbeat was discovered during his medical, but there are no health concerns in this deal and the player will be looking to get some very regular game time to get himself going now.

Having come in for £12million, he did spend last season out on the loan with French side Marseille, so with an 18 month loan given the fact the Brazilian is contracted until the summer of 2020, it will hopefully see his stock rise and he'll either come into Zidane's thoughts or at the very least we'll get close to making our initial outlay back as he continues his career elsewhere.
