Lopez Caro's Real Madrid abandon cockroach celebration

The cockroach celebrations at Real Madrid are now a thing of the past.
 
Real coach Juan Roman Lopez Caro has barred the controversial goal celebration, which was seen as a major symptom of the rifts inside the dressing room under former trainer Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

The united celebrations after all three of Real's goals against Cadiz on Saturday was highlighted by sports chief Benito Floro last night as a sign of how good the morale of the squad is under Lopez Caro.

He said: "Months ago we saw celebrations like those of the cockroach that only involved a few players of the team while the others watched."

"But after the goals on Saturday, I saw Brazilian, Spanish, English and Italians all together. That is because this group is all for one. Here everyone is rowing already in the same direction. Lopez Caro has achieved this through his approach."
