Lopez Caro: Real Madrid players desperately sad

Real Madrid coach Juan Roman Lopez Caro says he is proud of his players after last night's 4-0 Copa del Rey defeat of Real Zaragoza.
 
It wasn't enough to overturn the 6-1 deficit from the first-leg played last week, but Lopez Caro was delighted with his team's performance.

"We only needed one goal. They have behaved like genuine professionals. They have played an excellent game. At an individual level they have given their maximum," said the Real coach.

"I feel proud of my players and the fans also must feel the same way."

Asked about how his players were feeling in the dressing room, Lopez Caro added: "I have seen desperate and disillusioned people. Behind an enormous effort, everybody wants a great win to compensate and we have not had it.

"The fans and the club deserved it. Also the players because of what they have done."
