Liverpool, Tottenham to pounce for cut-price Real Madrid defender Heinze

Premier League clubs are circling for Real Madrid defender Gabriel Heinze.

At 31, Heinze could be sold in the summer by the new Real board, with Tottenham, armed with an offer of £5 million, waiting to pounce.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is also expected to try for the Argentina international, having been denied the chance to land the defender when he first became available from Manchester United.
