Liverpool tell Real Madrid's Figo to drop wage demands

Liverpool have told the advisors of Real Madrid star Luis Figo he must drop his wage demands if he wants to move to Anfield.

Figo has received the same message from West Ham as he seeks £90,000-a-week to move to the Premiership this summer.

The Portugal international's representatives say an announcement could be made this week regarding his future - with Stuttgart also in the frame.
