Liverpool target Figo wants £2M Real Madrid pay-off

Luis Figo is demanding a £2 million pay-out from Real Madrid for the final year of his contract.
 
While in the United States with the rest of the Real squad, Figo's representatives have been locked in negotiations with president Florentino Perez about a golden handshake for the 32 year-old.

Figo's final year of his Real contract is worth a cool £4 million and he is seeking half that to leave the club.

Liverpool are waiting in the wings to snap up Figo, having already agreed a contract with the Portuguese worth £60,000-a-week.

Inter Milan are also in the frame with a similar proposal, though its believed Figo has given Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez an assurance he will move to Anfield should he gain a release from his Real deal.
