Liverpool's Xavier denies Real Madrid contact

Liverpool defender Abel Xavier has denied any contact with Real Madrid.

The Portuguese international was linked with a January move to Real in the Spanish press this week.

But Xavier said: "I had absolutely nothing to do with the report in the Spanish newspaper."
