Liverpool's Xabi reveals Man Utd, Real Madrid offers

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso insists he doesn't regret turning down Manchester United and Real Madrid.

"Other clubs were interested - United, Real - but it was a great chance and it has been a good experience," said Alonso.

"I am happy at Liverpool."

"I have a belief in the manager and so should the supporters.

"We have new players, a new manager and a new style and we must be patient."

"We know that slowly we will improve and I think that Rafa is a great professional."

"He was successful in Valencia and because of that we have to be confident about out future."
