Liverpool's Gerrard to snub Chelsea for £28M Real Madrid move

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will reportedly snub Chelsea for a summer move to Real Madrid worth £28 million.

The Sunday Mirror says Gerrard has set his heart on a move to the Spanish giants, if, as expected, he finally turns his back on Anfield at the end of the season.

Madrid are now in pole position to land Gerrard in a deal that could eventually rise to £35m.

The England midfield ace is said to have a verbal agreement with Liverpool that allows him to review his future after the present campaign.

Real president Florentino Perez is ready to offer Gerrard a whopping £125,000-a-week to quit Anfield when the summer market opens.

Its been suggested that while Gerrard has given his word to Liverpool that he will not speculate on his future until the end of the season, privately the club are resigned to his sale.
