Liverpool, Real Madrid target Marchena waiting on Valencia

The agent of Carlos Marchena admits he hasn't heard from Valencia about a new contract.

The defender is inside the final two years of his present deal and his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilón, said: "I have read things in the press. But no-one from the club has contacted me."

"If they let it run until July, then things may be left too late."

Interestingly, Quilon is also the agent of striker Mista, who is snubbing a new contract offer from Valencia and set to leave the Mestalla on a Bosman in the summer.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have been linked with centre-half Marchena.
