Liverpool maintain push for Real Madrid's Juanfran

Liverpool are maintaining contact with Real Madrid over midfielder Juanfran.
 
The teenager has starred for Spain at this month's U20 World Championships and knows he won't see much first team action if he stays with Real this season.

Racing Santander and Espanyol have also been in talks with Real and are keen to take Juanfran on a season-long loan.

Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo rates Juanfran highly and would prefer to loan him out rather than sell him outright.
