Liverpool forced to wait for Morientes

Fernando Morientes' move to Liverpool will depend on new Real Madrid coach Wanderlei Luxemburgo.

Real president Florentino Perez has left Morientes' future at the club in the hands of Luxemburgo, forcing Liverpool to wait before resuming negotiations.

The striker's agent, Gines Carvajal, said: "Perez has asked us to wait as he wants to know what the new coach decides."
