Liverpool boss Benitez: We don't need Owen

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has ruled out bringing Michael Owen back to Anfield.

The England international striker has only spent one season with Real Madrid, but is being tipped to return to The Premiership.

"We have a lot of strikers who I am happy with and for me the most important thing at the moment is to protect Sami Hyypia and Jamie Carragher," explained Benitez.

"I am looking for a centre back and not a centre forward."
