Liverpool boss Benitez wants Real Madrid's Pavon

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will move for Real Madrid defender Francisco Pavon in January.

The Mirror says Pavon wants to move to the Premiership in January and can sign for Benitez when the window opens on a pre-contract basis - and then let the clubs sort out a fee.

Because Pavon is a free agent next summer he could leave Real for as little as £500,000 in the New Year.
