Liverpool boss Benitez goes cold on Raul

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has gone cold on the idea of luring Raul away from Real Madrid.
Benitez was keen to sign the Spain international, but his £6 million-a-year contract proved a major stumbling block.

A source close to Benitez told AS today: "He knows the amount it would take to contract Raul, he could spend on a good number of signings.

"And Liverpool's budget remains very tight."
