Liga Reaction: Hierro Ready To Party

Fernando Hierro was ready to celebrate Real Madrid's title triumph long and hard on Sunday after they confounded their critics to scoop the Spanish championship.

The Madrid captain knows that age is catching up on him and wanted to enjoy the moment as he explained that this maybe his last celebration with the club.

"I am going to celebrate winning this title as if it was the first one I have ever won," he beamed. "Also, because I do not know if there will be another one."

"I am 35 now and want to make sure that this feels like the very first time I was involved in a trophy winning team."

"There were a lot of people that did not want to see Real Madrid win this league, but we were desperate to have to prove what a great season we have had."

"But I must congratulate Real Sociedad for their superb season. In recent years they have struggled, but they have been great this season and have given us a real fight."
