Liga Reaction: Del Bosque: "It Was A Dull Match"

Vicente Del Bosque claimed that Real Madrid's encounter with Barcelona was dull after being spoiled by the number of stoppages made throughout the game.

After Ronaldo and Luis Enrique had netted the goals in the 1-1 draw, Del Bosque felt that madrid had the better chances to go on and win the match.

Bu the confessed that the visitors in the Bernabeu dictated much of the play.

"Barcelona had more control, but we had the clearer opportunities to win," he said.

"But overall the match was not a classic. It was quite dull. There was no coninuity to it because of the amount of interruptions."

"The game was spoiled by the number of fouls that meant the play had to be stopped every few seconds."

Roberto Carlos was keen to explain that he felt that he should have been awarded a penalty when he fell in the area midway through the opening half.

Instead of being given a spot kick, the Brazilian was shown a yellow card for his fall as Gabri closed in behind him.

"There was a blow in my back and it unbalanced me," he said. "It was a penalty."

"I am not going to dive because I never have. I am always truthful in these situations."
