Leeds play down Viduka Real link

Leeds boss David O'Leary says he has 'no problem' with Real Madrid's interest in Mark Viduka but re-iterated the Australian is going nowhere.

Viduka has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Leeds in recent weeks, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma all said to be keen on taking him to Serie A following his impressive form in the Champions League this season.

European Cup holders Real Madrid are the latest club to show an interest in the former Celtic star, but O'Leary has moved quickly to dismiss the possibility of Viduka moving to the Bernabeu.

O'Leary said: "You have to put all this in context. Look at Ryan Giggs and David Beckham at Manchester United - they've been leaving for the last few years too!

"I would never keep anybody who wants to leave but Mark is happy here. I've told him not to get uptight - it means he is doing well. We're always going to have people wanting our players but it's no problem, it is the price of success."

Viduka himself added: "I don't know anything about Real Madrid and I want to make it clear I am happy at Leeds. I want to stay at the club and win trophies."
